Mary Katherine Cox joins HSES as our 1st grade teacher. She previously taught at Spring Branch Elementary, Terrace Elementary, and Frostwood Elementary. Mary Katherine earned her Bachelor of Arts in Classical Oboe Performance and Music Theory from the University of North Texas and her Masters of Educational Administration/School Leadership from Abilene Christian University. She is Orton Gillingham trained to help identify dyslexia students and implement tools/strategies to help struggling readers. Mary Katherine enjoys spending time with her family. traveling, watching movies, painting and flipping furniture, reading, and watching documentaries. She says, “I love to form close relationships with my students and families and to create a dynamic environment of love, trust, and safety in my classroom. I am thrilled and honored to work at Holy Spirit, and I am so excited to meet my new students!”
