Kindergarten through Fourth Grade
The Holy Spirit Episcopal School trademark is our well-rounded student body. The faculty challenges students to excel academically, resulting in their placement in many top-tier schools. However, our faculty views academics as only one part of a student's potential. Creative expression, athleticism, and spiritual growth are also encouraged and developed. As a result, Holy Spirit produces some of the most self-confident students when it comes to public performances, multiple sports, and serving others.
Lower School spans kindergarten through fourth grade. The curriculum is based on the core subjects of language arts, science, math and social studies. Spanish, music, art, physical education, technology, library, and Christian education are also offered in the Lower School program. Technology is used in the classrooms, library, and makerspace as multi-purpose tools for everything from drawing to research. Students are given opportunities for creative expression, creative writing, and critical thinking throughout the curriculum.
Service outreach programs are offered through chapel, as well as class and whole-school opportunities. In addition, field trips and outdoor education create programs that offer "learning by doing." By developing and acquiring strong learning skills, the HSES student is well prepared for Middle School.
