About

Jovita Garcia started her career as an early childhood teacher at Ascension Episcopal School in 2010, where she stayed until joining Holy Spirit’s Primary 3 faculty in 2021. A certified Child Development Associate, Ms. Garcia has participated in a variety of professional development trainings, including early literacy instruction from Rice University. She is currently working toward a bachelor’s degree at University of Houston–Downtown. In her free time, she loves spending as much time with her family as possible. She also enjoys sewing, acrylic painting, making soap, and creating jewelry, and she tries to learn a new craft each summer.
