Jacki Higgs is originally from Texas, but spent many years in New York City, starting on Wall Street at Bear Stearns before transitioning to higher education administration at New York University. There, she served as director of financial operations in the Office of Global Programs for seven years, before relocating to Houston. Mrs. Higgs took a career break to stay home with her two children, then returned to her profession in 2021 as Holy Spirit’s head of finance and business operations. Trained in school board governance and oversight, she holds a BBA in finance from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA in management from New York University. In her spare time, she enjoys coaching her children’s sports teams, watching every possible Yankees baseball game, reading, traveling, playing video games with her family, and using her epic trivia skills to audition for Jeopardy! each year. (She’s made it into the contestant pool three times!) She also loves spending time outside—walking, hiking, biking, and working in her yard at home.
