Whether she’s developing creative lessons, exploring fresh topics in the classroom, or meeting new students at the beginning of the school year, Early Childhood Lead Teacher Anabel Aranda says there’s always something in the classroom that piques her interest—even after more than 20 years in academia! Dedicated to providing her young students with a safe, engaging learning environment that meets their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs, Ms. Aranda follows a classroom approach that’s inspired by a number of educational methods, from Montessori to Reggio Emilia. The certified Child Development Associate is a T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood Texas Scholarship winner, holds an associate’s degree in early childhood development, and is working on her bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Houston–Clear Lake. |
